The iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, overlooking the beautiful Dal Lake.

Tulip season usually begins in late March and lasts until mid to late April, depending on weather conditions.

It will take around 1hrs -2hrs to reach the destination.

How to cover in a Day Trip?
If you don't have a night stay in Gulmarg because the hotels are ususally expensive in the month of winters. You can cover it in a day trip.
1) Book your Gondola Tickets between 9:00 am - 11:15 Pm early.
2) Cover Drang Waterfall after returning from Gulmarg.
Important Points:
During the winter season. You have to take 4 x 4 Chain Taxis from Tangmarg to Gulmarg which costs around 4500-5000.
The same taxi will take you to the Drang Waterfall as well.
Make sure you book the tickets 1 month prior your dates as the tickets get sold out anytime and it will be hard to get them if delayed.
Bargain with union cabs as much as you can and make sure you discuss and confirm the price first and which places the union taxi will cover.
How to start?
After breakfast, leave towards Gulmarg. If the roads are not covered with snow then the cab will go directly to Gulmarg else you will have to take the Chain Taxi from the union. After reaching Gulmarg. Head towards Gondola Cable car which is around half kilometer away from Gulmarg Taxi Stand.
There is ususally a very big queue for Gondola. Ignore the timings on tickets as timings do not matter because of heavy rush of tourists. Just make sure you have the tickets for the same day. After the que you will go for Phase 1 Gondola Ride which is called Kongdoori. You can do winter activities there like skiing, snowboarding. Sleding etc. Bargain on activities as much as you can. Beware of Scams.
If you are lucky, There are Igloo Restaurants when the temperature is in minus where you can enjoy your lunch.
After covering the Phase 1, There will be announcement for Phase 2 which is called Affarwat Peak. Its basically Known for its breathtaking view of Pir-Panjal Himalayan Range. Also if there is no haze you can witness the K2 mountain of Pakistan which is most famous after the Mount Everest.
Wait for the announcements of Gondola Association for the return.
When you return from the Phase 2. You will again face the queue. So usually it will take you back around 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. After that if time remains you can cover the whole bowl of Gulmarg by Atv-Four Wheeler Bikes (Only 1 Person at each bike) where you can see Maharaja Palace, Saint Mary Church, Rani Temple, Golf Course. Ice-Skating Points. etc. Else In the evening return back to Tangmarg. If the time remains visit Drang Waterfalll via union taxis or Atv Bikes.
How to cover properly?
If you have a night stay at Gulmarg. You can cover Gulmarg easily and hassle free.
1) Visit Drang Waterfall & do the Sightseeeing of Gulmarg Bowl on the First Day.
2) Go for Gondola ride next day and save yourself from the huge queue.
Important Points:

Also mention the union cab driver to pick you up late in the evening after covering the Gondola ride. Don't make the full payment until you are done.

After breakfast, leave towards Gulmarg. if the roads are clear the cab will take you to Gulmarg Hotel. Upon reaching Gulmarg. Check-in to the hotel and leave for some sightseeing of Gulmarg. You can cover the whole bowl of Gulmarg by Atv-Four Wheeler Bikes (Only 1 Person at each bike) where you can see Maharaja Palace, Saint Mary Church, Rani Temple, Golf Course. Ice-Skating Points. etc. Avoid the activities like skiing, snowboarding, Horse riding and any other snow activity for which you have to pay on the first day. After enjoying the first day of your Gulmarg. In the evening return back to the hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.
Next day early after breakfast, leave for Gondola. Make sure you leave as early as you can to avoid the big queue. After the que you will go for Phase 1 Gondola Ride which is called Kongdoori. You can do winter activities there like skiing, snowboarding. Sleding etc. Bargain on activities as much as you can. Beware of Scams.
